Been very busy the past two weeks scouting love hotels in Japan, notably Tokyo and Osaka. This photo was shot two days ago in one of those love hotels while Bianca was retouching her makeup before a shoot. Turns out the lighting in that bathroom was absolutely stunning as it was, I decided to conduct the shoot there with no additional light. Sidenote on the love hotels in Japan: I had been researching Japan love hotels a lot prior to our trip. If you google "Japan love hotels", you'll quickly find blog posts with super inspiring hot photos of thematic hotel rooms, like spaceship rooms, crazy SM rooms, jungle rooms, etc. After visiting COUNTLESS love hotels (probably close to 100), I can tell you first hand that all those room don't really exist anymore. It's very disappointing. The hotels with the crazy rooms are either closed down, or they were renovated into modern bedrooms. How disappointing for photo opps like ours! We ended up shooting in pretty normal rooms considering what my research had showed me online prior to our trip. Well, it's off to the Philippines now!
